MY AIM IS DELIVER FRESH AND ORIGINAL WORK AT A COMPETITIVE PRICE.
I find inspiration all around me and have a doodle pad or camera with me at all times ready to jot down an idea. I like to use found materials, mix media and an injection of imagination. I find the works of many Artists, Contemporary Illustrators and Street Artists "Picasso, Warhol, blu, 45rpm, Ekta" inspiring and a great source of inspiration.
"I try to work in a unselfconscious state, a visual language often expressionistic and uninfluenced by accepted rules. I try to keep freshness and try to retain a rhythm, a spontaneous style. "The spirit of drawing" letting the imagination flow."
I have been through art college and have many years of experience, Ive gained a 2.1 Ba hons in Design and Communication and a professional qualification in youth work, throughout University and Art College I was able to experiment in many fields and learn many skills such as photography, life drawing, design, sculpture, film and print making and I experimented with many other mediums… Ive worked on many professional projects ranging from print, photography and sculpture to cinema advertising and performance art. I see my varied skill set a great advantage when producing work.
Over the last few years and since living in Devon I have been lucky enough to win some accolades both locally and internationally. Some charity work for the T.A.A.G. Gallery and local kids club saw us win the local Town Guy Fawkes competition, I spent many hours with the children creating a colourful and crazy looking Guy with a massive funky head which won the judges over. Ive also won local and international competitions for my pumpkin carvings. Ive been placed at the famous "Fortum and Masons" Pumpkin competition in Piccadilly for my totem pole inspired pumpkin. Ive carved a 200lb pumpkin for Paignton zoo and recently have been asked tobe a master carver at Powderham next October. Each year I produce and direct a short film for the Exeter Film Project, the shorts have been received well and are shown at the film festival to a packed audience. Ive taken part in many exhibitions and one epic show "Arts Apocalypse" where my work was shown with over 50 other artists including works by Warhol and Banksy.
My art work has many different concepts and my more conceptual "fine art“ work has been shown at the T.A.A.G. Gallery Recently in the "land of the gods exhibition" where I sold many pieces and received many commissions. My street style illustrative doodle work has been exhibited recently at the Phoenix Exeter and at the funky late "Arts Anonymous" gallery. My style is some what enigmatic and should asks questions and sometimes I find these questions just don't have an answer and can leave you guessing and intrigued.
I like to use old and new materials and techniques, a sort of loose mixed media style. I'm not afraid to pick up a paint brush or pencil or use a graphics tablet on the mac to help manipulate my work. I think it's important to engulf modern techniques and experiment with new and cutting edge technologies.
I'm hoping that this year I can develop a wider ordinance and get my art work showing in many more Galleries. I have a show in Italy at the end of this year and I'm working on a very big project with the 'bike shed theatre'. I have sold many pieces locally and around the U.K. also with the help of the internet I have managed a capture a wider ordinance internationally. My work is now in some of the bigger cities such as London, Stockholm and NewYork.
I LOVE TELLING STORIES THROUGH A SINGLE FRAME. WHETHER SHOOTING IN MY STUDIO UNDER LIGHTS, OR TRAVELING THE WORLD FOR DESTINATION PHOTOGRAPHY, I KNOW HOW TO CAPTURE A MOMENT. IVE GOT A GREAT EYE.
I CREATE EVERYTHING FROM CONCEPT TO SCRIPT, AND PRODUCTION TO POST. ARMED WITH MY IMAGINATION AND MY CAMERA, I AM A ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR ALL YOUR VIDEO AND FILM PRODUCTION NEEDS. AND I LOVE WHAT I DO.
COMING UP WITH FRESH ORIGINAL IDEAS IS WHAT I DO BEST. I WAS ONCE TOLD 'CHRIS YOU'RE AN IDEAS MAN!' THERE'S NOTHING MORE SATISFYING THAN SEEING A PROJECT THROUGH FROM START TO FINISH.
